For the British School of Cartagena (CBC) it is a pleasure to know your interest in being part of our family. Together we will ensure that your child has the best training and experience that enriches his life with relevant and significant learning to face any challenge successfully.

We are a trilingual educational institution, with an active learning methodology and with high empathy towards families and their needs. Admission process

1. Virtual tour

Before starting our admissions process, we invite you to meet and take a virtual tour of our headquarters, while we provide you with all the information about our school. To schedule your virtual tour you can contact the number [57] 300 383 5883, from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

2. Stagecoach form

If you decided to start your process with us, you must submit the following required documents and upload them to our admissions platform. Once the admissions form has been completed and the documents have been gathered, we will continue with the next step.

3. Online interview

We will assign you an appointment with psychology and cycle coordination, corresponding to the degree to which you aspire. The results of the exams and the interview are analyzed by the Admission Committee and subsequently notified to the family. If the student is admitted, the parents will go through the enrollment process. It is essential to have the complete documentation to close this process.

4. Payments and legalization

If the response of the admissions committee has been positive, we will send you the invoice that you can cancel by means of a bank deposit. You can download the registration documents on our website; you must fill them out and deliver them to the academic secretary.

  • Institutional admission report completed by the previous school. This form is sent to the emails of the parents, once the application for admission has been completed.

1. How is the handling of food in children?

At CBC we have an at site nutritionist, in charge of designing the best lunch and snack menu for our students, taking into account the best healthy eating habits.
Parents have access to the weekly menu on our website and can see in advance, what foods will be prepared during the week for children. In addition, we have the most technologically advanced food plant in the city, which supplies and is in charge of supplying the school restaurant with fresher food.
 

2. Do you have school routes?

We have a GPS system for the location at all times of our school bus routes, which are responsible for picking up children at their homes and bringing them safely to school; likewise, they return them home safe and sound.

Each route has a teacher instructor who is responsible for ensuring the safety of children inside the buses and verifying that all children on the route reach their destination.

3. What is the value of the tuition and monthly fee?

The cost of enrollment and monthly fee varies depending on the cycle and grade level to which the child will enter, for which his age is also taken into account. The admissions coordinators are the people in charge of providing this information to those interested.
 

4. At what age do children begin to use all three languages ​​in their classes?

Starting in first grade in lower elementary school, children begin to take some subjects in English, thus being Spanish and the latter, the languages ​​that students begin to use. Subsequently, in the third grade of primary they begin with their French classes.

5. What kinds of extracurricular activities does the school offer?

Our Project Based Learning (ABP) methodology allows children to choose from 32 co-curricular activities in which they develop their potential throughout the year. 6. How many foreign teachers teach at the school?

Among students, teachers and administrators we have more than 32 nationalities in the classrooms and hallways of the school. Currently, we have more than 10 foreign teachers in our school.

7. What is the position of the school at the national level in the ranking of the best schools?

The British School of Cartagena is among the 50 best in the country and among the 3 best in Cartagena de Indias. Our students' Saber test results highlight their discipline, commitment and responsibility.
 

8. Do you profess any religion at school?

9. How many children are in each classroom?

In each classroom there is a maximum of 25 children and our classrooms are fully equipped with the best technology and supplies designed for the comfort of our students and for what is most profitable for them to learn.

10. What is IB and what are its advantages?

At CBC we are an IB school, or International Baccalaureate, an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that allows our students to homologate subjects with schools anywhere in the world. In addition, it allows them to validate subjects with national and international universities.
