Amid hugs, smiles, and emotional moments, the students of the Class of 2027 at the British School of Cartagena celebrated their “Last First Day,” a day that officially marked the beginning of their final school year as CBC students.
There are days that stay with you forever. Our seniors’ “Last First Day” was one of them. From the early hours of the morning, students and their families prepared for a very special day: the beginning of the final chapter of their school life.
This year, the Class of 2027 is introducing itself as the “Rewinders”—a name that invites them to look back on the moments that have shaped their journey, reflect on all they’ve experienced, and, at the same time, prepare to write new chapters before graduation.
Upon their arrival at the British School of Cartagena, the seniors were welcomed in an atmosphere filled with excitement, applause, and special messages from the school community. It was the first day of school, but for them it had a different meaning: it was the first of many “last moments” they would experience this year.
A beginning to celebrate and remember
The event was designed so that students could reconnect, share experiences, and begin to create the memories that will accompany this very meaningful stage of their lives.
Between conversations, photos, hugs, and special moments, the Rewinders kicked off a year that will be filled with experiences they’ll have for the last time as CBC students: projects, celebrations, gatherings, and traditions that have been part of their history at the school.
More than just a countdown to graduation, this final year is an invitation to live in the present with purpose, to cherish every experience, and to enjoy those little moments that, over time, will become some of your most cherished memories.
Rewinders: The Beginning of a Final Chapter
“Last First Day” means so much more than just the return to school for our seniors. It’s a chance to look back and recognize how much they’ve grown, everything they’ve learned, and the people who have been part of their journey.
For their families, teachers, and classmates, supporting them as they embark on this new journey also means witnessing a time filled with pride, excitement, and nostalgia.
Today marks the start of the final year for the Rewinders, Class of 2027. A year to live life to the fullest, create new memories, and leave a mark that will go down in CBC history.
Welcome back, Rewinders. Let’s make this last year unforgettable.
